The Role
In this role, you must show a connection with and willingness to advocate for children and Insight Early Learning's philosophy WISDOM, INNOVATION, SUSTAINABILITY and EQUITY. You will be a great team player, show initiative and confidence, and be ready to PLAY as we operate on a play-based curriculum.
You will be responsible for implementing an approved learning framework and supporting the overall wellbeing, growth, and education of young children. This involves creating a safe, inclusive environment that supports diversity and encourages children to develop self-confidence and self-esteem.
A regular day in this role will involve:
- Being responsible for management of the day-to-day operation of the assigned room.
- In collaboration with the Education Leader, assisting with the development, implementation and reflection of the educational program to provide a high-quality program for all children and families.
- Supporting children's learning through interaction, investigation and projects.
- Monitor children’s health, nutrition and hygiene while providing emotional support and guidance.
- Closely working with the team to observe and document children's developmental progress against learning outcomes and establishing further learning goals.
- Building and maintaining positive and strong relations with the team to create a safe, supportive, stimulating and educational environment for all children and families.
- Ensuring a safe environment is maintained for staff and children.
- Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to all times.
- Working in line with Insight's philosophy, policies and procedures.
- Any ad hoc duties as required.
What you will bring:
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a degree in Early Childhood Teaching
- Current and valid Working with Children Check
- Experience working in a similar role
- Understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework
- Warm, Empathetic and bubbly personality
- Willingness to work as a team
