Our client is a small, business to business RTO with offices in Sydney and Parramatta that delivers business services qualifications to the construction, automotive and professional services industries in Sydney and regional NSW. Our client is currently consolidating its offering, and looking to expand into different industries, regions and expanding its scope.
Our client is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic RTO Manager to work closely with its COO to develop strategic plans and deliver against its key performance indicators. The ideal candidate has an ability to work with various different stakeholders, support the growth of the organisation, and have strong technical skills in the adult education, administration and compliance spaces, including Smart & Skilled contract and reporting management.
Responsibilities:
- Management of day-to-day operations and supervision of RTO team with respect to training and assessment, administration and reporting to ensure consistency with legislative requirements, Smart & Skilled requirements, quality standards and performance measured against strategic goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain positive ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, students and team members.
- Accountable for accurate and timely management and review of reporting in accordance with best practice approaches and regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Manage, monitor and report against business performance against budget and Smart & Skilled cap.
- Contribute to strategic plans and lead and manage key goals and objectives.
- Implementing and monitoring quality and compliance across training packages, service delivery and operations.
- Seek and develop opportunities for growth and professional development of the team.
- Ability to attend sales and customer account management meetings to attract and retain key clients.
- Ability to work with senior management to develop and report against strategic and operational goals, targets and KPIs.
- Ability to take a hands on approach and work in administrative, compliance and academic fields as necessary.
- Ensuring excellence in the implementation of policies, procedures and strategies which enable quality outcomes of training and assessment.
- Proactively monitoring the quality of training and assessment delivery, identifying issues and implementing resolutions as required
- Attending and leading regular team meetings ensuring that action points are identified and followed up in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated ability to manage an RTO across its key functions.
- Proven experience in consolidating and growing RTOs against strategic objectives and KPIs.
- Focus on improving compliance, continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ability to take a hands on approach and get into the detail when necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to manage business finances and Smart & Skilled cap.
- A strong knowledge and understanding of the RTO Standards, Smart & Skilled contractual and reporting obligations and nationally endorsed training packaging requirements.
- Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems, preferable experience in Axcelerate.
- Demonstrated organisational, project management, compliance and administrative skills.
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, including advanced written communication skills and the ability to effectively consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable
- A relevant qualification in business leadership/management.
- A qualification in training and assessment, such as TAE40122 (or higher).
- Proficiency with Axcelerate.
- Existing experience as a manager with an RTO highly regarded.
