Our client are a specialised rubber compounder, supplying rubber to numerous industries throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia, and now seeking a relevantly experienced Rubber Production Machine Operator.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES & TASKS
Observation and implementation of safe operating procedures to ensure own safety and the safety of other employees and machinery.
Operation of mill:
Setting up the mill.
Cutting down.
Feeding cross over.
Feeding onto the takeaway conveyer belt.
Monitoring the mill.
Fixing jams.
Operation of batch-out, mixers, in a safe and efficient manner as per procedures.
Operation of downstream processing equipment.
Activities related to the storage of materials and products.
Cleanliness of the production and storage areas.
Follow all relevant Production safe work procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Year 10 or equivalent (demonstrate basic mathematics adding, subtraction, multiplication)
Good written & verbal communication Skills (need to be able to read safe work procures written in English and complete multiple-choice test).
Must be able to hold and use tools with their righthand.
Physically fit and capable, demanding task, no restriction on weight or being on their feet all day.
A pre-employment medical is required for all candidates, this will include drug and alcohol screening, audiometric and spirometry (lung function).
