About the Role
An opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our Civil Works Team. This position will undertake proactive inspections and manage reactive customer requests for Council’s Civil and Park related infrastructure assets including the identification of potential hazards to ensure public safety.
What you will be doing:
1. Carry out proactive defect inspections of Council’s Infrastructure assets in accordance with Council’s Maintenance Management Plan as scheduled.
2. Collect and collate strategic asset data relating to condition, performance, function, capacity and enter data into Council’s Asset Management System in accordance with Council’s adopted Asset Management Policies, Strategies and Plans.
3. Assist in managing customer requests relating to the investigation of public infrastructure assets.
4. Installation of safety devices/measures as required to ensure public safety.
5. Assist with the investigation of risk issues and insurance claims arising from the condition of Council’s infrastructure assets.
6. Assist in the review of guidelines and procedures including the identification of efficiencies within Council’s maintenance activities.
7. Provide relevant information and recommendations to other stakeholders including asset owners and project managers.
8. Comprehensive and accurate record keeping of inspections, customer requests and safety devices/measures.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
1. Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management
2. Current Class C Licence (NSW)
3. Traffic Controller Licence (or willingness to obtain)
4. White Card – General Construction Induction
5. Demonstrated experience in carrying out asset inspections
Position details:
Permanent full-time position – S0974, Salary: From $76,000 + Superannuation + To and From vehicle
