About this role:Working within Queensland Rail's MPI team, the Systems & Safety Assurance Engineer role will see you providing and coordinating expert advice, analysis and assurance to ensure compliant delivery of major projects, such as The Logan to Gold Coast Faster Rail Project.   • Contribute to the development of requirements and assurance for the acceptance of new assets
  • Review and recommend changes to integrity and assurance process
  • Provide strategic guidance and interpretation of requirements and standards
  • Guide and review systems assurance and integration deliverables
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with internal and external agencies
  • Establish and maintain knowledge of critical aspects within contract packages
  • Ensure successful and compliant Project assurance delivery into Queensland Rail
Some of the skills you will bring to the role:
  • Extensive knowledge of asset acceptance, risk and assurance principles
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering construction and maintenance practices
  • Sound knowledge of the fields of design, asset management and inspection/assessment/auditing
  • High level of skill in performing and documenting risk assessments
