About the role
ChemCentre is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to maintain ChemCentre’s compliance with the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2020 and Regulations 2022. This position contributes to the development, improvement and implementation of WHS policies, procedures, and processes. This position participates in the WHS committee, reporting non-compliance areas to management and the committee.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful applicant will coordinate the safety function and conduct regular audits to identify potential hazards and risks. You will manage and maintain workers’ compensation claim files.
The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of relevant WHS legislation and general laboratory safety processes and practices. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence others. You will demonstrate your ability to work independently and collaboratively with a strong commitment to safety excellence.
This is a Permanent (full-time) opportunity.

Applicants will require Australian Citizenship, or Permanent Residency, National Police Clearance, WA Police Integrity Check and pass a Fit for Work test (completed prior to commencement).
