Position- You will be joining an established organisation with a positive safety culture and good reputation with the NSW building commissioner.
- Having been in operation for over 20 years they already have strong systems in place so this hire will not be overhauling processes. They are however looking for someone with strong training and development skills, the ability to build rapport quickly with internal stakeholders and employee who will promote a positive safety culture.
- This position will be responsible for overseeing a team of safety advisors at varying levels whilst working hand in hand with the Site Manager and sub-contractors on continual improvement in accordance with legislation.
- Salary will be in line with experience however figures of between 190K – 200K can be expected. The role is office based with regular visits to site
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete specific site safety audits and assessments
- Provide ongoing training and development to staff and sub-contractors
- Work closely with management to improve if necessary any processes
- Providing advice and assistance in accordance with relevant Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice to all staff
- Maintain, development, implementation and ongoing administration of the IMS systems
- Drive a positive safety and compliance culture
Qualifications / Skills
- Experience in Integrated Management Systems & full knowledge of ISO9001 & AS/NZ4801 standards
- Cert IV Work Health & Safety
- Training & Assessment Cert.
- Ability to undertake internal auditing
- Excellent written skills & experience in writing policies & procedures
- Knowledge of environmental compliance
- Highly developed skills within online safety systems
