Situated in our Arndell Park, with travel to our Beresfield office, our team is looking for a Rail SafeworkingOperations Manager to join us on a full-time basis. You will have experience in rail Safeworking, or close workings with Rail Safeworking from an associated sector i.e. rail infrastructure maintenance.
This role is a great opportunity to be involved in a challenging scope of works within the rail industry. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the wider team, with no two days being the same and occasional requirements to working outside normal business hours to fulfil client request. Your role and responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities of this position include:
- Providing day-to-day leadership, guidance and direction for the team
- Managing the service of major customers, costs, budgeting and forecasting
- Manage rostering of a Rail Safeworking team
- Responsible for quality assurance, client delivery and relationship management
- Ensure that all compliance and statutory regulations, OHS, environmental and public health objectives are met
- HR matters – scheduling, supervising, overseeing and onboarding of staff and management of performance
- Ensure that all employees are adequately qualified, trained and experienced to perform their duties in a safe, competent and responsible manner
- Working alongside other management to oversee all deadlines
- Other duties as and when required
- Must be able to work on an on-call roster as part of your role
- Contribute to operations with improvements and initiatives
- Previous experience in the rail/construction/engineering industry
- Ideally 5 years'+ management experience in an operational environment
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with a proven track record of collaboration across business units, functions and teams
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Excellent PC skills and intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite
- Exposure to new business development
- Current driver’s licence
