About the role

We're looking for a talented Senior Health & Safety Supervisor to join our team at InfraBuild Steel Laverton, VIC. Reporting directly to the InfraBuild Steel Health, Safety and Environment Manager, and dotted line to the Victorian Operations Manager. You'll be energetic and passionate about working with, and providing strong leadership to the business ensuring our WHS risks are managed.

Your responsibilities will include;

• Providing guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable InfraBuild WHS Policies and Global Standards.

• Developing local site WHS procedures and processes to meet InfraBuild Standards

• Supporting the site manager and business managers by championing the site WHS committee, and sub committees, and providing guidance and support for WHS representatives.

• Supporting completion of risk assessments related to WHS hazards

We're looking for a proactive Supervisor with strong attention to detail and natural leadership ability. You'll enjoy working in a rapidly changing environment, and will be used to managing broad stakeholder groups in a safety capacity.

You will live and breathe health and safety, and be passionate about educating the wider business.

The successful candidate will ideally have;

• Relevant Bachelor degree in engineering, science, health, safety, or a related field

• Expertise in safety programs across manufacturing, production, or service operations

• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.

• Have a thorough understanding of Australian WHS legislation, particularly the Victorian OHS Act and subordinate legislation and codes of practice.

• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.

• Experience with WHS regulators (e.g. WorkSafe, EPA)

• Experience with OHSAS 18001 and/or ISO 14001 and Self insurance frameworks

• Injury management and return to work exposure
