The Company

Position Overview
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, we are looking for a highly energetic sales professional to identify, pursue and grow sales across our unique Spencer Gulf Kingfish and South Australian Yellowtail brands in the greater Melbourne area.
The role will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and Marketing team to continue developing strong customer engagement through a collaborative approach, visiting customers on a regular basis to drive growth and maximise sales opportunities. Specifically, we are looking for a passionate and strong relationship builder to develop sales whilst increasing brand awareness of our Spencer Gulf Kingfish and South Australian Yellowtail products within the Food Service and Retail sectors.
Excellent communication skills and professional presentation are essential as the successful candidate will need to confidently engage and negotiate with chefs, business owners and key decision makers. Your success will also rely on building effective internal relationships as you support high-performing teams across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pursue and grow sales through continued customer engagement and increased brand awareness
- Execute the Sales plan and objectives and Marketing activities
- Work autonomously whilst engaging and contributing to the success of the Domestic Sales and Marketing Team
- Increase distribution within new and existing seafood retail customers
- Identify and follow through on new customer opportunities across the region
- Implement point of sale solutions in seafood retail customers
- Facilitate and deliver product presentations and training across both foodservice and seafood retail channels
- Develop an understanding of competitor activities, strategies, pricing and provide feedback internally on market activities via weekly reporting and data management
- Contribute to state forecasts for new business opportunities
- Build effective stakeholder and internal relationships
Required Skills and Experience:
- Prior sales experience, preferably in premium food sectors
- Understanding of the foodservice/hospitality industry
- Passion for premium seafood/food products
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
- Strong numeracy and reporting skills
- Highly motivated and resilient
- Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
- An understanding of Work Health and Safety responsibilities
- A full driver’s licence
