The Common Good Coffee Company is looking for a motivated and passionate self-starter to become a part of our growing business. We are a small but rapidly expanding business that sells coffee, eco cups, teas and coffee machines into the Independent P&C market across Australia. We also support mental health by donating $1 from every kilo of coffee sold to BeyondBlue.
Our open-plan office is based in Chatswood West, a busy but relaxed environment. As a small business, no two days are the same, we all wear many hats. We believe that skills can be taught but the right mix of attitude, willingness to learn and drive is key to success. We are looking for the right person to take ownership of the role and turn it into something amazing.
The role
As the Sales Assistant, your key objective is to support the sales team. The role will require a strategic/analytical individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating confidence, attention to detail and a 'can-do' attitude.
The key focus areas of the role include:
- Assisting in general day-to-day office responsibilities.
- Consolidate orders and dispatch them to customers.
- Handling email requests.
- Stock control / Inventory management
- Following up back orders and pending orders.
- Account management duties including phone calls and emails.
- Assisting with store setups and launch days.
- Data entry into CRM.
- Handling inbound service calls.
- Liaising with suppliers.
- Shipping and logistic management.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Passionate about driving sales
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Have the ability to work autonomously
- Can demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Coffee equipment/technical product knowledge (desirable but not essential)
- Hospitality experience (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Well-presented with the ability to build strong working relationships with key decision-makers.
