The Role:
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role will be primarily focused on customer service, with accountability for exceeding our customers' expectations.
Working collaboratively with the sales and production teams, the role is crucial in its support of the growth of the company. The right candidate will be accountable for the delivery of exceptional service to our broad range of customers, including transport operators in the wholesale foods and cold chain logistics sector, as well as small to medium food services businesses.
This role is directly involved in managing day-to-day customer interactions via phone, in person, via email and through our website, ensuring that we provide the highest standard of reliability and quality.
As our Ex-Fleet Sales Consultant, you will interact with prospective buyers to understand their business needs, demonstrate truck features and benefits, negotiate pricing and terms (where applicable), and close sales. An existing network of contacts in the transport and logistics sector is desirable.
Primary Duties:
Assist the team to deliver the highest degree of quality and customer service on a day-to-day basis - Customer enquiries, regular communication with customers, managing the CRM and a large volume of inbound sales leads via our website.
Own the processes involved with ex-fleet disposals - Ensure vehicles meet compliance and conducting vehicle audits.
Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills to keep the yard running smoothly - Maintain a clean working environment, manage layout of the sales yard, and move, fuel, and deliver vehicles.
Work collaboratively with the National Sales Team and National Rental Team.
Who We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:-
- A genuine passion for customer service, with strong relationship building skills.
- Inbound sales lead management experience in a high-paced, national environment.
- Experience in managing a CRM.
- A strong focus on quality and an eye for detail.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proven sales experience, ideally in transport, refrigerated or food distribution environment.
- Capital equipment sales experience in a similar sector would be highly regarded.
You must have a clean and current drivers' licence, ideal MR/HR licence and must be capable of passing a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.
