As a Sales Estimator you will play a pivotal role in our sales process, utilising your analytical skills, industry knowledge and customer-centric approach to generate accurate estimates and drive business growth.
Responsibilities ….
- Estimation: Utilise industry-specific software and tools to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for both commercial and residential projects.
- Bid Preparation: Collaborate with the sales and production team to develop comprehensive bid proposals that meet the needs of potential clients while ensuring profitability for the company.
- Site Visits: Conduct on-site visits to evaluate project requirements, assess potential challenges, and gather essential data for the estimation process.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with clients to understand their project goals, address inquiries and provide expert guidance on cost-effective solutions that align with their objectives.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and project specifications, estimates, and communications with clients, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Market Analysis: Monitor client feedback, competitor activities and market dynamics to assist with pricing strategies and maintaining a competitive edge in the marketplace.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and operations, to streamline processes, optimise workflows, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance technical skills, stay updated on industry best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the estimation process.
The Ideal Candidate will have …
- Minimum of 2 years sales estimating, sales, or account management experience
- Proven experience developing proposals or quotes (mandatory)
- Experience in the building or construction industry (preferable)
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
