Job description

Position Summary 

CDFS is looking for a competitive and trustworthy Sales Executive to join its Canberra and Melbourne teams on a full time basis.

You have experience selling to government agencies, and are familiar with the right timing, methods and rules relating to the sector. Your responsibilities include discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating and closing deals. If you have excellent communication skills and are able to confidently engage with potential customers to demonstrate our services and products, we’d like to meet you. 


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to penetrate the government market and achieve revenue targets
  • Identify and qualify leads within government agencies, including federal, state, and local governments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the government sector
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals that address the specific requirements of government clients
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with government procurement officials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and procurement guidelines
  • Stay informed about government policies, initiatives, and funding opportunities that may impact sales opportunities
  • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends to senior management
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand the company's presence in the government sector


What You'll Need

  • Outbound sales to senior decision makers with demonstrated ability to sell to Government and enterprise clients
  • Strong network of contacts within government agencies and knowledge of government procurement processes
  • Experience selling training, professional services and products 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and credibility with existing clients to achieve cross-sell, up-sell and retention targets

Remuneration

Remuneration commensurate with experience.
