THE POSITION
The sales team is the engine that drives our business success.
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager who will keep our engine running, utilising their own sales skills as well as provide the leadership of our sales team
The position will be an integral role within our management team and will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role we are seeking an experienced Sales Manager that can mentor, coach, motivate and build a high performing team. You will have a successful track record in sales and the ability to inspire the same in others.
You will need the ability to understand the technicalities of our bespoke products and manufacturing processes.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Strategy and sales budgets:
- Create, develop, and execute agreed sales strategy based on the company objectives.
- Implement and manage a sales operation plan and targets that align with the agreed strategy.
- Ensure sales plans and processes are maintained in accordance with the documented sales operational plan.
- Monitor, review and analyse sales performance data for effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement.
People and process:
- Take responsibility for the effective leadership and management of the sales team. You will need to have the ability to engage, coach, mentor, motivate and inspire the sales team by your example. Advise and develop the skills of your team members to assist achievement of their objectives.
- Implement and manage KPI’s in alignment with the sales operational plan. Review the performance of your team members against their KPI’s. Monitor all sales procedures and practices for effectiveness, efficiency and identify areas for improvement
Human resources:
- With the support of HR, recruit, hire and train your team members.
The person:
- You will have significant leadership and management experience in a sales environment, with a proven record of success. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, both internally and externally, are essential
- We are looking for a quick learner who can represent the company effectively with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of our products and services.
The ability to operate in a fast paced and often changing environment is essential. You need to be optimistic, tenacious, persistent, resilient and have highly developed IT skills and the ability to navigate various in-house programs. Flexibility to travel interstate is required.
