TIMSTOCK is passionate about supplying our customers with quality baking ingredients. TIMSTOCK is a family-owned company with a proud heritage spanning 150 years in operation. We are the leading specialist supplier for the baking industry. We pride ourselves on timely and efficient customer service and we currently supply over 1000 customers throughout Victoria. TIMSTOCK ranges over 3000 products making us the ‘go to’ foodservice provider for professional bakers and pastry cooks. We operate out of our warehouse and head office facility conveniently located in South-East Melbourne and operating our own fleet of distribution vehicles supported by a specialist sales and customer service team.
As part of our new growth and development strategy, we are looking for a ‘hands on’ and passionate manager to lead our sales and customer service teams and to oversee our marketing support program. We are looking for an experienced and insightful Sales Manager with a solid mix of field and account management experience. This is an opportunity to own the sales effort and help the business achieve its forward growth objectives and help drive our new product and innovation program.
Applicants should clearly demonstrate the following:
Minimum 5 years sales management experience managing a sales and CS team within a customer focused environment.
Minimum 5 years-experience in associated market channels, preferably foodservice, route and/or retail in Australia.
Ideally key account experience and field sales management experience.
Ability to travel within Victoria, occasional interstate and O/s travel as required.
Clean and current Victorian Driver’s License.
Some exposure to consumer marketing inc. social and digital marketing and communications.
Demonstrated ability to manage customer expectations and resolve conflict.
Sound time management and planning skills with ability to prioritise.
Strong communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, and with command of Microsoft office Suite.
Experience with ERP systems and Sales reporting applications.
Demonstrated financial and commercial literacy.
Demonstrated experience developing, presenting, and activating a strategic sales and marketing program in a similar FMCG setting.
Ability to identify key opportunities for operational efficiency within functional remit and more widely in the business.
A confident and optimistic demeanor and the ability to motivate a sales and customer service team.
A ‘hands on’ and lead from front and autonomous management style.
The role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer based in Melbourne and works in collaboration with the other functional business departments. A competitive remuneration package is on offer including a short-term incentive program for the right candidate.
