We have partnered with a global provider of process solutions that is experiencing ongoing growth across its mining and minerals division. As part of their strategic growth, they are looking to appoint a Sales Specialist (Mineral Systems) out of Brisbane to manage sales, marketing, and BD for Wet Process Equipment in QLD and Southeast Asia mineral sectors, specifically filter presses.
You will be required to have considerable product knowledge in tailings, watering recovery, and filtration relevant to the core industries of services; Iron Ore, Nickel, Bauxite/Alumina, Lead/Zinc, Copper/Gold, Coal, Rare Earths, and Battery minerals. The role will require a strong focus on technical sales support while leveraging your current industry contacts and network. Travel throughout your remit of QLD and SE Asia will be required.
Role responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of International Business Development you will work closely with the sales team, and engineering and processing divisions to market map and secure sales for their wet processing equipment (dewatering);
- Work from home or a satellite office in Brisbane.
- Drive and manage sales of Filter Presses, Thickeners, Screw Washers, Slurry Pumps etc.
- Continue to embed yourself within the hard rock mining sector; conferences and networking events.
- Record all sales and customer engagements in the company CRM/Database.
- Engage with industry consultancies and affiliates for market research and BD opportunities.
- Travel both domestically and internationally to represent the interests of the company.
- Liaise and collaborate with National & Global offices as required.
- Open & honest communication with your team as this is very much a self-sufficient role with remote management.
- Preferably a formal qualification in Science, Engineering or Mineral Processing.
- 5+ years of experience in capital equipment/service sales (Wet Mineral Systems).
- A previous knowledge or client base in the desired regions will be highly advantageous.
- Previous experience in minerals processing (sales, laboratory functions, process engineering).
- Computer literacy for MS programs and web based programs
- High level of sales acumen.
- A track record in business development and client management.
- Well presented with a positive, productive, and professional approach.
- Confidence in your ability to write and present technical papers to management and industry conferences.
