About the role
In this position you will collaborate with senior stakeholders within the business and work closely with our Operations, and Customer Service Teams. You will actively build your sales pipeline, exploring and securing new and profitable business across all trade lanes in air and sea freight. You will be in charge of your own fate, so to speak, in terms of how your week runs and how you like to work (on the road, in the office, etc).
Duties & Responsibilities
- New business sales development for the business
- Phone calls and in person meetings with potential clients
- Identify new business opportunities & develop customer relationships
- Tender/quoting responsibilities, to a point
- Maintain a fit for purpose pipeline of prospects to math company strategies
- Support campaigns across vertical target markets, products and trade lanes
Skills & Experience
- Strong new business sales mind and approach
- Freight forwarding background within sales
- Proven ability to build pipelines and execute sales strategies
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong time management and rapport building skills
- Ability to work autonomously
