About the opportunity

We have a exciting new opportunity for a seasoned Sales Manager to join our Milwaukee team based in Tasmania. The State Sales Lead will provide leadership and direction to their direct reports to create an excellent distribution network for Milwaukee products aligned with our Customer EUV Strategic Plan and in line with the EUV strategic objectives. The State Sales Lead will be out on the road covering their territory mentoring and coordinating their staff and their customers.

This is a hybrid role with 75% travelling on the road and having a day at home doing admin and having meetings. There may be some interstate travel once every 3 to 4 months.

Responsibilities

  • Create, develop and execute innovative account management practices to influence our retail distribution partners to work with us to create an exceptional in-store experience for our users.
  • Enable your team to effectively present and sell the Milwaukee value proposition to the decision-makers throughout our retail distribution network in line with the EUV strategic objectives
  • Understand the user and dealer network thoroughly so that you can direct your team effectively.
  • Work with the National Field Sales Managers to deeply understand the opportunity within each of the retail channels and align our Customer EUV Strategic Plan and EUV strategic objectives
  • Rigorously implement the channel marketing strategies defined and delivered to you by the National Field Sales Managers via the Strategic Account Managers and Channel Managers.
  • Participate in sales conferences, industry meetings, and social networks to represent company's brand.
  • Build a high performing sales team whilst be conscious of contributing to a fair work/life balance for each team member.
  • Recruit, develop and retain talented individuals to your team.
  • Develop teams to meet and exceed agreed KPIs and sales targets for allocated state.
  • Build and maintain strong client relations.
  • Hold self and others accountable for relevant organisational policies and regulations.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business and sales opportunities
  • Ensure Area Sales Managers partner effectively with other sales teams (Specialists, Strategic Accounts) to deliver the best outcome

Skills and Experience

  • Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong management, leadership and mentoring skills
  • Passion, drive and strong time management skills
  • At least 10 years sales experience - preferably FMCG area
  • High-level proficiency with MS Office programs
  • Capacity to work independently
  • Competitive spirit
  • Professionalism
