Viking Rentals is a successful Australian hire business. Our core products include portable toilets and temporary fencing supplying to builders throughout Australia in the residential construction industry. We are looking for a customer focused scheduler based in our National Head Office at Acacia Ridge. The role is permanent and full time with an immediate start.
This crucial role is multi-purpose and includes scheduling, customer service and office support:
- Organizing driver workloads in various states ensuring timely delivery to customers
- Optimising routes focusing on the efficient use of resources
- Communicate with clients and providing updates on the status of their products and services
- Customer service, answering new inquiries via phone and email
- Processing sales quotations and orders
- Maintaining customer databases
- Supporting our driver, operations and management teams
- Contribute to process and system continual improvement
- General office administration duties
The successful candidate will possess:
- Experience and knowledge in transport and logistics scheduling (highly regarded)
- The ability to problem-solve and identify efficiencies (essential)
- The ability to plan and pivot in a dynamic environment
- Proactive approach to answering customer queries
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail
- Excellent telephone and email manner
