About the Role:
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Dispatch Coordinator/ Transport allocator to join our team based out of our Arundel branch.
This role is the heartbeat of our business, scheduling the daily deliveries of bricks, blocks and construction materials to our customers across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Northern NSW across our network to meet our customer’s delivery needs, on time, every time. Experience in a similar previous dispatch role is essential with a solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility and heavy vehicle transport legislation is essential.
The successful candidate will be part of a small team based out of our Arundel branch tasked with this extremely important function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage fleet operations to ensure timely deliveries
- Facilitate order dispatch and communicate instructions clearly to drivers
- Demonstrate exceptional time management skills in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Ensure compliance with mass limits and driver fatigue work hours
- Optimise daily driver schedules to maximise truck utilisation
- Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding delivery updates
- Provide management with pertinent information affecting day-to-day operations and safety protocols
- A small amount of load/unloading to keep our drivers moving
Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience in a dynamic dispatch transport role is essential
- Knowledge or certification in Chain of Responsibility principles and policies TLIS0006 Administer a fatigue risk management (preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to timelines
- Ability to think critically and problem-solve within complex scheduling networks
- Forklift License
