Reporting to the Principal Scheduler these positions provide project level schedule planning and maintenance throughout the project lifecycle to the assigned project team(s) by providing detailed expert technical scheduling administration, advice, monitoring and support.This role is a conduit between all areas of the business, interpreting project needs and in turn developing and maintaining executable project schedules which are aligned with resource availability, system dependencies, budget and milestones/timelines as defined by the Project Manager. The Project Scheduler is responsible for the integral element of ASC's ability to manage maintenance activities. The fundamental purpose of this role is to develop accurate executable project schedules which enable and ensure the safe and successful planning and execution of maintenance availabilities on time and within budget.ResponsibilitiesWorking in an experienced team of project delivery professionals, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Review, plan and schedule whole submarine maintenance activities
  • Monitor and control all activities through the planning and execution of activities
  • Development and monitoring of project schedules including the identification and verification of all critical path activities
  • Scheduling and re-scheduling of activities in consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Understanding and documenting the sequence of works, relationships, durations and resource requirements for maintenance activities
  • Updating activity information and status based on information from various sources and stakeholders
  • Communication of trends to the Project Manager and Project Team
  • Detailed schedule analysis for relevant stakeholders
About youMinimum 3 years' demonstrated scheduling and project planning experience within a complex project environment, preferably in Defence, Shipbuilding and/or heavy engineering industries together with:
  • Technical qualification in a relevant Engineering / trade discipline or proven ability as a scheduler in a similar environment
  • Demonstrated scheduling and project planning experience within a complex project environment, preferably in Defence, Shipbuilding and/or heavy engineering industries
  • A high-level of integrity and resilience
  • Advanced skills in Primavera P6 (or other scheduling tools) & Excel
  • The ability to effectively communicate complex issues both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
