The Purpose:
As the Schemes and Applications Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our organization operates within our Scheme rules and ensures our business is supported throughout the governance committees, all while supporting our potential members throughout their member application processes. Working in the dynamic field of Schemes and Applications Management, your expertise and attention to detail will help us maintain and safeguard our operations and reputation.
Responsibilities of the role will cover the following key areas:

  • Lead a team of highly talented individuals and ensure the level of engagement across the team is maintained at a high standard.
  • Execution of process improvements.
  • Maintain a rapport with all key functions across AP+ and support other projects to ensure the impact to the Schemes and Applications teams are understood.
  • Supporting the team in managing all the governance committees with our AP+ members.
  • Meeting minute taking and reviewing external presentations.
  • Conducting some of the day-to-day work during peak times and when required.
  • Implement structures and processes to ensure scalability across the teams all while reducing operational risks.
The skills & knowledge you need to have:
  • Minimum of 10 years working in the payments industry or similar financial services or consulting.
  • In-depth understanding of governance committees and member structure organisations.
  • Understanding and the know how to develop process improvement plans and models.
  • Strong understanding of conceptual risk and control frameworks.
  • A robust understanding of the domestic and/or international payment industry landscape.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks objectively.
  • Proven track record of delivering multiple projects within the designated time frames.
