What you'll be doingThe
Towards Zero Suicides initiatives seek to provide leading best practice crisis care and support, build on local community resilience and improve systems and practices to reduce the suicide rate in NSW. As part of this initiative, a range of services are being delivered across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN), including Safe Haven and the Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT). Operationalised by a team of Peer Workers with lived experience of suicide and mental health clinicians, together the services will adopt a compassionate care model to consumer driven service provisions.This position will provide strategic planning support, leadership in service delivery, operations and ongoing evaluation, lead required change management processes and oversee reporting across services. This role will also support other mental health initiatives and support integration of services across the SCHN.Reporting to the
Psychological Medicine Head of Department (HoD), the
Psychological Medicine project Manager will work closely with key stakeholders including the Mental Health Service, local clinicians and managers, peer workers, consumers, carers, Primary Health Networks, NGOs, LHD primary and secondary health services, NSW Mental Health Branch and others to support the various project stages required for the successful and innovative service changes in SCHN.
- Tertiary qualifications in a health care discipline or equivalent experience, or a combination of both.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and quality improvement in a health setting
- High level analytical skills including an ability to collect, analyse, interpret and report on complex data
- Demonstrated intermediate computer literacy to support project management requirements
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to give presentations, engage clinicians, negotiate change.
- Effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organisation with proven ability to address change resistance.
- Demonstrated ability to be self- directed and priorities work within an environment of competing priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
