About the role:

This is a newly created role is accountable to the Pathways Program Manager and is responsible for the delivery, development, and successful outcomes of the Pathways and Partnerships teams. The focus will be on the delivery of domestic and international Scholarships and the Indigenous Pathways Portal.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the Scholarships operational plan and budget.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for all domestic and international scholarships
  • Managing and monitoring scholarships, including scholar payments and reporting
  • Maintain accurate and current records of scholarship details in a master spreadsheet and/or CRM dashboard
  • Preparation and distribution of all documentation
  • Manage the administration of the Scholar Support Framework. 
  • Navigating university systems and processes
  • Planning Scholar events and retreats
  • Supporting Scholars to explore post-study next steps
  • Connecting Scholars with other Aurora participants, alumni and stakeholders
  • Lead the response to scholarship inquiries and liaise with potential scholarship candidates.
  • Managing the Scholarships inbox, triaging emails and escalating to Pathways Programs Manager.
  • Lead the implementation of the monitoring and evaluation framework.
  • Ensure all funding and reporting requirements are met.
  • Lead the development and management of the Portal operational plan and budget.
  • Manage the Indigenous Pathways Portal maintenance and ensure all scholarship and opportunity listings remain current and accurate.
  • Ensure all Indigenous Pathways Portal listings remain current and accurate in Aurora’s CRM.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging issues to ensure a positive user experience of the Portal. 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to explore opportunities to expand the Portal’s function.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging themes in Indigenous employment, the tertiary and VET education sectors to assess the viability of potential target audiences.
  • Ensure all reporting requirements are met.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Information Management
  • Support the Partnerships and Strategy team to develop and implement a calendar of engagements to promote Scholarships and the Indigenous Pathway Portal
  • Identify opportunities to establish relationships with universities, Indigenous sector organisations and other key stakeholders.
  • Attend relevant external stakeholder events to promote or raise awareness of Aurora and the Pathways Programs.
  • Support with the delivery of program information and recruitment sessions for university students and faculty. 
  • When required, contribute to reports and funding proposals via writing submissions and / or attend stakeholder meetings.
  • Support the Partnerships and Strategy team to ensure all Scholarship Program and scholar information on Aurora’s websites and media platforms remains relevant and current.

About you:

  • Passionate about supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate across teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, project management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience as a Program Lead or equivalent in the sector
  • Experience using Microsoft suite of programs and CRM
