About the role
Reporting to the Vacation Care Coordinator, you will provide assistance in the delivery of a high quality School Holiday Program for up to 60 children between the ages of 5 and 13 years, in Council’s Vacation Care Program.
Duties
- Assisting in the planning of the Vacation Care Program
- Supervising, caring for and actively interacting with children in a range of activities
- Providing support to children in a fun, creative and inspiring environment
- Documenting children’s play and learning
- Establishing relationships with families, the community, and local schools
- Preparing and clearing away materials as directed
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Experience working with children in OOSH Service or Long Day Care
- Experience providing age relevant activities and the ability to interact well with children
- An ability to build positive relationships with children and families
- A Working with Children clearance number is essential
- First Aid Certificate and the certificate of CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
