Job Summary:
The Science Curriculum Advisor will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the Science Curriculum across all grade levels. This position requires a knowledgeable and experienced educator who is passionate about science education and curriculum development. The Science Curriculum Advisor will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive and innovative Science Curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Science Curriculum and instructional materials aligned with state standards and best practices.
- Integrate current scientific research and technological advancements into the curriculum.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers in the implementation of the Science Curriculum.
- Conduct professional development workshops and training sessions for teachers to enhance their instructional practices.
- Observe and evaluate classroom instruction, providing feedback to improve teaching and learning.
- Analyze student performance data to identify areas of improvement and inform instructional decisions.
- Conduct regular reviews of the Science Curriculum and make necessary adjustments to ensure its effectiveness and relevance.
- Ensure that all science teaching resources are up-to-date and aligned with curriculum goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other Curriculum Advisors to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to curriculum development.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lifelong learning among teachers and students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree level of education
- Valid teaching certification in science.
- Proven experience in science education and curriculum development.
- Strong knowledge of state and national science standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of educators and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for curriculum development and instruction.
