About the opportunity:
St John Paul II is seeking a passionate and dedicated Laboratory Assistant to provide support and assistance to our teachers. More specifically you will:
Support the mission, teachings and ethos of the Catholic Church’s work in schools.
Prepare practical work for use in the classroom, including general and complex laboratory experiments
Prepare simple chemical solutions and, under instruction, more complicated solutions
Develop and use appropriate storage systems, including for dangerous and toxic substances consistent with material safety data sheets
About you:
Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study
Appropriate demonstrated experience
Demonstrated ability to follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
Demonstrated interpersonal skills in working with a range of personnel
Strong planning and organisation skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain the quality of assigned work
