Your role:
Based at our flagship facility, the Gateway Clinic and Day Hospital in Sydney’s CBD, you will be responsible for the dual laboratory designed to maximise patient access and pregnancy outcomes. You will also have oversight of the laboratories at Liverpool, Miranda and Gregory Hills. With this broad remit, you will work closely with City Fertility’s National Chief Scientist, the State General Manager, State Medical Director and accomplished network of Fertility Specialists. Thanks to our partnership with global leader CHA Medical Group, the Gateway Clinic and Day Hospital is now one of Australia’s most advanced IVF clinics. The role of Scientific Director NSW leads the operational performance of all laboratory services across NSW and is critical in ensuring City Fertility delivers outstanding laboratory services, and the best possible outcomes for patients.
Qualifications and skills we value:
As the Scientific Director for NSW, you’ll bring both an operational and strategic lens to everything you do. Underpinning your exceptional technical experience will be advanced interpersonal communication skills. You will be a trusted and well-regarded people leader, who is equally confident in managing relationships both up and down the line. You will be astute, yet sensitive, in your dealings with others and will have proven experience in successfully managing complex stakeholder relationships.
In addition to the above, we expect you will have formal qualifications such as Masters of Embryology, and/or a relevant PhD. As such you will most likely be an experienced Laboratory Supervisor or established Scientific Director who brings a commitment to high-quality processes and a passion for building strong teams of dedicated scientists.
