Work cooperatively with all staff in Pathology Queensland – Central, Chemical Pathology Laboratories and ensure effective communication within the team, and with clients internal and external to the laboratory to ensure the smooth operation of the Department.

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of Chemical Pathology testing and its role in clinical medicine.
- Knowledge, skills and expertise in analytical methods and instruments relevant to chemical
- Knowledge, skills and expertise in the validation and clinical interpretation of results in chemical pathology.
- Knowledge of Pathology testing and its diagnostic, therapeutic and monitoring role in disease and health.
- Good communication and negotiation skills with staff at all levels in a large organisation.
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
- The successful applicant must hold a Bachelor of Science degree, or an equivalent qualification
- Professional association membership is desirable but not essential (e.g. AACB, AIMS)
