About the Role
We are actively recruiting highly skilled and motivated Scraper Technicians to join our Pilbara inland shutdown operations on a 182 Dynamic Roster. These are permanent positions within the business reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for maintaining & repairing a wide variety of fixed plant assets. As a candidate who enjoys working in a team of high safety and operational standards you will be responsible for working across three key disciplines, Scrapers, Skirt Liners, Rollers on a variety of fixed plant equipment including conveyors, screenhouses and stackers and reclaimers. We are seeking candidates with shut-down experience within mining specifically with exposure to the above fixed plant equipment.
Daily jobs could include but not limited to:
- Perform detailed inspections on a range of conveyor related equipment inclusive of conveyor belt, hard & soft skirts, rollers, pulleys, primary/secondary/tertiary belt cleaners & ploughs.
- Adherence to a scheduled plan of work
- Preparation/building belt cleaner components
- Diagnose scraper issues, refurbish scraper components.
- Remove and replace scraper poles.
- Remove and replace conveyor idlers rollers), bulk and singularly.
- Remove and replace idlers frames.
- Carry out routine inspections on skirt liners.
- Remove and replace soft and hard skirts.
- Quality assurance activities & reporting
- Troubleshooting to resolve issues with plant & equipment
- Collaborating with the wider Port team to support sustainable operation of plant
- Assisting other teams during shutdowns and as requested by supervisors

About You
We are looking for the following:
- Scraper technician experience
- Experience working in fixed plant shutdown or maintenance working to a flexible roster
- Must have a strong attention to detail
- Must be able and willing to perform work that is repetitive in nature
- Must have strong safety ethics
- You will be a strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Willingness to learn and further develop
