About the Opportunity: We are currently seeking a highly skilled Draftsperson with SDA/NDIS experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the quality assurance of drawings for residential construction projects and collaborating closely with our in-house and offshore drafting teams. This highly technical position requires a deep understanding of design principles, computer-aided drafting technologies and building codes to ensure accurate and comprehensive concept & contract drawings as well as an understanding of the NDIS Design Guide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with SDA team leader to create custom designs to suit the SDA/NDIS design guidelines.
• Maintain accurate internal operating system data related to drafting information and tasks.
• Continuously improve the quality of Concept & Contract plans and adapt to SDA/NDIS requirements.
• Provide prompt, clear, and solution-oriented service to all internal and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Draftsperson in a construction-related field, with a focus on quality assurance of conceptual design.
• A degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as architectural drafting, building construction, or engineering.
• An understanding & ability to interpret the SDA/NDIS guidelines & AS1428.1.
• High level of proficiency in Revit.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction principles, building codes, Council regulations and construction processes.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
