AddressWyndham Vale Montessori Centre Buffalo Campus is looking for a Second in Charge (2IC) to join our leadership team.

Position objective: to provide support to the Centre Manager to ensure the efficient and effective management of the learning centre.
As a 2IC, you are responsible for the guidance, support and general supervision of children, staff, and volunteers in absence of the Nominated Supervisor of the service. You are expected to facilitate and support the Nominated Supervisor in leading a team of Educators to ensure they are working in accordance with the service philosophy, policy, and procedures, and as per the National Quality Standards (NQS), to provide high quality education and care for all enrolled children.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the Centre Manager to manage all daily operational aspects of the centre.
- Assist the Centre Manager in maintaining, implementing, and updating the centre's policies and procedures as required.
- Supports the centre Manager to ensure that excellent communication channels between staff and management are always maintained.
- Create and maintain productive and purposeful relationships with families of the children in the centre.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all team members in the centre.
Selection criteria
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education
- Current First Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
- Current WWC
Essential experience
- Previous experience in administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, team leadership and management of staff.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
