We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-rounded Essential English Teacher for a full time continuing position starting ASAP!
We are assisting a Flexible Learning School that's campus is located in Ipswich.
This school offers an alternate learning environment for Year 11/12 students who have become, or at risk of becoming, disengaged from mainstream schooling. Class sizes are lovely and small and there is a strong focus on building relationships and providing a holistic learning environment that meets the needs of each student. Teachers are well supported by fantastic leadership.
This school has a strong purpose in re-engaging students to their experience of school in a positive and non-judgemental way, supporting these young people to achieve to their potential. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a small and dedicated staff and make a meaningful difference!
The Role and Teaching Requirements:
- Year 11/12 Essential English and Social and Community Studies
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Formal teaching qualifications, with current Queensland Teaching Registration and experience teaching the subject area/s required;
- High level of honesty and integrity;
- Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships with others and with people at all levels;
- Experienced classroom management and ability to provide a safe and supportive classroom environment where each individual feels respected;
- A versatile and flexible teacher who can prepare and deliver effective learning programs and is understanding of the different styles of learning in their classroom;
- High level time management skills and attention to detail
In addition to this, you will be an adaptable, positive and proactive person, who can flourish in a small community environment.
