Skills Required:

• Passion for teaching and dedication to student learning.
• Excellent organizational and behavioural management skills.
• Strong communication skills with confidence in handling challenging situations.
• Content knowledge and pedagogical practices to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.

Role Responsibilities:

• Direct teaching of both groups and individual students.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Science curriculum.
• Undertake other classroom teaching and organizational duties as directed by the School Principal.
• Participate in activities such as parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps, and excursions.

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Diploma Qualified in Education
• Knowledge of the Victorian Secondary curriculum
• VIT certified
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a friendly, professional and cooperative manner with students and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with relational ability, flexibility, creativity and organisation
• Creative and innovative approach to lesson planning and delivery.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to the school's extracurricular activities.
