Secondary Maths Teacher

Job DescriptionAbout the Role:
Calling all Junior Mathematics educators! Tradewind has partnered with an F-9 school in Point Cook in Melbourne's West, to teach Mathematics to students in years 7-9. This full-time ongoing position starts in Term 2, with the opportunity for school tours. Join an International Baccalaureate school committed to delivering outstanding education to students.Key duties:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with The Victorian Curriculum
• Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively convey mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
• Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including providing additional support or challenges as needed.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
• Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices.

Skills & Experience:

• Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Must have a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
• Demonstrate previous experience in teaching secondary Mathematics
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
