As a qualified CAPA teacher you will bring experience, skill and excellence in classroom practice to this permanent position in a growing school community. The role for 2024 may include a combination of Drama, Music and Visual Arts.

Position highlights

The successful applicant will focus on providing students with a quality Catholic education and a student centred curriculum aimed at maximising student outcomes.

This full time temporary role will commence on 29 April. We welcome applications from recent graduates.

To excel in this role, you will:

  • demonstrate proficiency in teaching Drama, Visual Arts or Music
  • The ability to teach Stage 6 Drama an advantage
  • apply teaching approaches that cater to diverse learning styles
  • commit to on-going professional and spiritual development
  • guide and lead students in extracurricular experiences
  • support the College's educational initiatives and endorse innovation as outlined in our Strategic Plan
  • participate in mentoring and training alongside peers and build strong professional relationships
  • uphold and promote the Catholic ethos of the school
  • exemplify the core values of truth, empathy, excellence, curiosity, and collaboration in alignment with Sydney Catholic Schools' Mission and Vision.

Your qualifications

  • a tertiary qualification in Education, with relevant study in Drama, Visual Arts or Music
  • current accreditation with NSW Standards Authority (NESA)
  • an SCS Employee ID Number, by completing the Registration to Teach process, or a commitment to complete the registration process.
