About the Role
Lindisfarne is currently seeking to appoint an innovative, collaborative, and passionate IT teacher to join our Creative Industries Faculty. The successful candidate will possess not only exemplary teaching and communication skills but also a high level of technical proficiency in coding and programming.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate programming expertise in at least Python, Swift, or JavaScript, in addition to proficiency in HTML and CSS. Furthermore, experience in algorithm design and computer science fundamentals—including sorting algorithms, search algorithms, linked lists, hash tables, trees, and graphs—would be highly valued.
The successful candidate will also be keen to play an active role in the classroom, in pastoral care, in co-curricular and in the broad life of the School community.
Salary offered will be commensurate with the successful applicant's skills, qualifications and experience and will be based on the teaching salaries in the Independent Schools NSW Teachers (Hybrid Model) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021 ($81,886 - $120,515).

- Have passion, expertise and experience in teaching IT
- Maintain a positive and effective learning environment through well-prepared and differentiated lessons, which cater to the range of student abilities and interests.
- Set realistic and challenging academic standards of student performance
- Commitment to and understanding of the use of a range of assessment tools and techniques
- Solid understanding of how to analyse data in relation to student progress and teaching effectiveness.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in and out of the classroom
- Proven ability to manage time and conflicting priorities effectively
- Have appropriate ICT skills and a preparedness to integrate ICT skills into the learning process.
- Have an understanding of and commitment to the Anglican Christian ethos of the School.
