Our SecureTec Field Technicians are responsible for maintaining and repairing hardware, software and service applications within our car parks, providing both proactive and reactive maintenance, diagnosis and repair of our car park equipment in order to ensure optimal system performance and superior customer satisfaction.
Our SecureTec Field Technicians work to a set roster schedule where we provide support and coverage to our car parks over our peak training hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify software and hardware issues within car park equipment, and repair.
- Perform regular software and hardware preventative maintenance on car park equipment.
- Install cables and equipment and configure and test hardware and software.
- Document equipment locations and configurations
- Run diagnostic programs or use test equipment to locate the source of issues.
- Record information on issues, their symptoms, diagnostic steps taken and their results, and resolution steps, as well as details of preventative maintenance, including travel time and time spent on site, in a regular, consistent, and timely manner.
- Regularly monitor the incoming work queue and ensure issues are assigned and actioned in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with landlords, customer service representatives and leadership team.

- Data or electrical trade license
- Has a sound generic, domain and specialist knowledge necessary to perform effectively in the organisation, and specifically understands:
- Electrical and mechanical principals with sufficient depth to safely interact with and repair PARCS equipment including boom gates, relays and kiosks.
- Basic CCTV camera equipment concepts and their application to surveillance and recording.
- Basic TCP\IP network concepts, including IP addressing, DNS and DHCP.
- Intermediate PC skills, including knowledge on how to connect to and execute commands against other computers via USB and\or network cables.
- How to identify modems, firewalls, routers, switches, and servers, along with associated peripherals and cables.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to issue troubleshooting and resolution.
- Takes the initiative in identifying and negotiating appropriate personal development opportunities.
- Understands how the role impacts security and safety and demonstrates routine security and safety practice and knowledge required for own work.
