Talenza has been engaged by an award-winning security consultancy to source a Security Analyst with a focus on Vulnerability Management. The organisation has an overflow of work and needs an experienced Vulnerability Management specialist to assist. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Vulnerability Management, with a preference for experience using Tenable. However, proficiency in Rapid7 or Qualys would also be suitable. The position requires the ability to run vulnerability scans, analyse the results, and oversee the remediation process.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular vulnerability scans using Tenable, with proficiency in Rapid7 or Qualys as backup solutions.
• Analyse scan results to identify vulnerabilities, prioritise them based on risk, and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain Vulnerability Management processes and procedures.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in Vulnerability Management.
• Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to team members and stakeholders on Vulnerability Management practices.
• Generate reports and metrics to track vulnerability trends, remediation progress, and compliance with security policies and standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Vulnerability Management, ideally with expertise in Tenable. Proficiency in Rapid7 or Qualys is also acceptable.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, including configuration, operation, and interpretation of scan results.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
