Airport Development Group (ADG) owns and manages diverse infrastructure assets across the Northern Territory including airports, hotels, aviation, and commercial buildings. Investing, developing, and managing long term infrastructure to grow the Territory and Northern Australia.
ADG is seeking a Security and Compliance Coordinator to support the Alice Springs Airport in providing direction and Compliance with Airside Operations, Safety, Security and Environmental matters. You will maintain compliance with regulatory bodies such as CASA, Cyber and Infrastructure Security Centre and NT WorkSafe.
We are looking for someone who has demonstrated security experience ideally within the Aviation industry, who has the ability to perform Security Compliance Officer duties and respond to after hour emergencies or issues on-call.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Implement operational, Security and environmental procedures and requirements for both airside and terminal operations in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure aviation, safety and environmental risks are managed in line with company objectives.
- Respond to Aerodrome and Terminal emergencies in accordance with the Aerodrome Emergency Plan, Transport Security Program (TSP), the Terminal Evacuation Plan and other relevant manuals.
- Monitor, report and follow up on airport activities including aerodrome serviceability, breaches of regulations, and Compliance with ASA procedures.
- Assist with the implementation and continuous development of the Aviation Safety Management System including safety investigation, safety promotion, safety quality assurance and risk management.
- Assist with the reviewing and updating of the Aerodrome suite of manuals including the Aerodrome Operations Manual, Aerodrome Emergency Manual, Wildlife Hazard Management Plan.
- Perform in the duties of Security Compliance Officer for Alice Springs Airport.
- Co-ordinate the HSE function and assist in investigations as required across ASA to ensure obligations are met in order to achieve a safe working environment and meet with legislation requirements.
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of security related processes and procedures.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of project related security strategies and policies and establish a clear course of action for their implementation and review.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are clear, concise, and compliant with relevant legislative and regulatory obligations.
- Assist in developing contingencies to maintain security operations in the event of equipment failure, security threats, and any increase in the aviation security threat level.
- Coordinate the monitoring and reporting on contract compliance and deliverables, including monitoring and assessing Key Performance Indicators and conducting external audits.
- Represent ASA at meetings and act as a Point of Contact for security related matters. Liaise directly with government agencies and departments and provide support and direction as required.
- Maintain security systems in accordance with the TSP, SOP’s and Terms & Conditions/policies.

To be successful you must have:
- Ability to efficiently deliver security strategies and outcomes in accordance with the directions provided.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of legislation and Compliance requirements and its practical application.
- Demonstrated practical experience using the Microsoft Suite of products including Excel and Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Current NT driver’s license or ability to obtain a license.
- Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
- Ability to obtain the following certificates: First Aid, CASA Radio Operators, CASA DAMP Supervisor and Airport Reporting Officer Certificate.
- Ability to be on-call after hours and attend callouts for emergencies.
- Eligible to hold an Aviation SecurityIdentification Card and pass an Australian Federal Police Check.
