This position is for a DevSecOps Platform Engineer to work as part of the security team to assist the with the management of Cyber Security platforms.
Key Responsibilities and Major Tasks:
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with Cyber Security platforms;
- Maintaining uptime and coverage of platforms;
- Upgrading platforms and coverage;
- Providing reporting, metrics and health checks;
- Continuously improving operations of platforms;
- Maintaining documentation for platforms;
- Deploy platforms and pipelines within specific problem spaces critical to Telstra's needs;
- Apply engineering best practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevOps, while collaborating with a high-performing and motivated team;
- Thrive in a dynamic and autonomous environment, actively contributing to small, agile, and cross-functional teams; and
- Communicating across internal and external stakeholders
Skills:
Essential
- Evidence of Technical University Qualifications relevant to the role or Evidence of a minimum of at least three years of relevant recent experience;
- Self-starter with proven ability to work effectively with limited supervision;
- Ability to work as part of a small, agile and cross-functional team;
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities in an effective way.
Highly desirable
- Expertise in working with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP;
- Experience in DevSecOps processes, tools and methodologies;
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, etc.);
- Understanding of automation concepts, with experience in automating workflows;
- Experience in Linux systems administration with knowledge of working with secure operating systems;
- Ability to manage small projects and meet deadlines;
- Knowledge of working with Cyber Security frameworks (e.g. ISM, DIA, NIST )
