AddressAs a Security Manager, you will be serving in a key role as the functional Area Manager for the Security Department in Alice Springs, Australia. As a Multi-Disciplined Security Officer (MDSO), you will provide contract support and direction as it relates to security for Amentum personnel, including physical security, OPSEC and other security disciplines. This position requires business acumen in managing budgets, supporting CONUS business development, or other relevant ad-hoc tasking.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead a staff of approximately 60
- Develop ~$1.SM budget encompassing labor, other direct costs, and material
- Understand and communicate all required security information to members of the Program Management Office (PMO)
- Interface with Program Management, recruiters, CPSO, FSOs, and program employees, subcontractors, and new hire employees in relationship to servicing and maintaining program
- Assist program management in understanding and implementing security initiatives and develop risk management methodologies to minimize cost while maximizing protection to the program's most sensitive assets
- Report to PMO with preparation of reports and CDRLs
- Protect government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures
- Develop, implement, and administer an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company requirements on large and/or highly complex programs
- Provide innovation and creativity into security awareness training and education program (briefings, bulletins, and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
- Manage secure construction meeting ICD/ICS 705 requirements
- Create clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, and manage constraints of costs, time, scope, and quality
- Review materials for proper classification and markings
- Ability to analyze complex information, independently, take appropriate actions, and review/approve recommendations from others
- Ensure team members know and execute their respective roles and the roles of the other team members
- Effectively manage and ensure compliance of all security-related activities per client-specific security procedures and supplemental policies
- Ensure safety obligations are met re: (HAZOBs), Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS), Go/no go etc.
- Demonstrate ability to uphold Security and Safety policies, challenge those observed/suspected policy violations
- Display leadership abilities in planning, organizing, and conducting day-to-day activities
REQUIRMENTS
- Must be able to obtain an maintain a U.S. Government issued TS/SCI clearance
- Min of 5 years of experience managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity
- Min of 2 consecutive years of supervisory experience in the field of industrial security
- Knowledge of USG Sponsor Security processes and procedures
- Familiarity with USG Sponsor and IC policies in regards to Physical, Personnel, and Information Security
- Experience supervising a security staff operating a 24x7 basis
- Demonstrated capability to exercise good judgment
- Demonstrated capability to respond adequately during emergencies
