Your new role
As a Security Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of the organisation's operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure a safe and secure environment across the facility
- Ensure applicable Work Health & Safety (WHS) obligations are managed appropriately
- Protect the vital infrastructure and property of the facility, including management of essential services
- Manage the security team in providing a high-quality, customer-centric response to incidents and disruptions
- Manage surveillance equipment including ongoing maintenance and upkeep
- Inform the needs, requirements and constraints of the facilities asset maintenance and capital works projects
- Maintain current understanding of government policies and procedures relating to the facilities procurement activities and manage procurement processes to meet government requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Security Manager role is essential in being successful.
- Certificate or Diploma in one of Security & Risk Management, Workplace Health & Safety or Front-Line management (or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders and contractors.
