Your Role as a Security Officer
We are seeking experienced Security Officers who can protect Sydney Trains from a variety of threats that will impact the safety of the people on the site. You will join our team to ensure the safety and security of all patrons of the facility, staff, and on-site contractors and their assets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Train station patrolling to implement crowd control and deescalate anti-social behaviour.
- Protecting assets and ensuring safety within Stabling Yards.
- Log electronic reports for any incidents and hazards.
- Demonstrate conflict resolution skills and communicate security concerns.
- Provide other stakeholders with a visible security presence.
- Cooperate with safety engagements and periodic memo requirements.
- Provide customer assistance to passengers.
- Assist with medical or evacuation emergencies.
Requirements To Become a Security Officer
- Ability to work a 24/7 roster.
- Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Current Security Licence (1AC).
- Valid NSW Driver’s Licence.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Certificate II in Security Operations.
