AddressShangri-La, The Marina, Cairns, is seeking a Part-Time Experienced Security Officer to look after the complex - our hotel and our shopping the Pier Shopping Centre.
The Hotel
Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns. With 255 guest rooms, 18 function venues and extensive food and beverage facilities, the hotel is part of a leading international company with more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide.
The Role
You will be responsible for the safety and security of our hotel guests, food and beverage patrons and of course our staff.
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Queensland Security License
- First Aid Qualifications
- Incident Reporting and Investigation experience
- Knowledge of fire panels and responding to events
- Assisting in Security related Incidents & Emergency Management
- Confident interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional work ethic
- Availability and flexibility to work across a 7-day rotational roster, including evenings and nights
- Excellent presentation and grooming
- High level problem solving skills
- Full, unlimited work rights in Australia
Our preference is that you have previous experience in a hotel environment, however all experience will be considered.
