THE POSITION
Wilson Security is seeking professional, thorough and customer-orientated Security Officers for a range of positions from 15-30+ hours per week based in a GLOBAL BRAND'S DATA CENTRE. We are recruiting multiple casual positions available immediately.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct security screening of all personnel entering/exiting restricted areas
- Ensuring safety on site and that rules/procedures are followed by all personnel
- Ensuring compliance of all security policies and procedures
- Patrol the site and report all issues
- Use of computer systems to perform numerous tasks related to gatehouse duties
- Monitoring activities through the use of CCTV and remaining vigilant
- Ensuring safety on site and that rules/procedures are followed across all visitors
- Writing incident reports and following up on relevant tasks in a timely manner
- Provide constant and clear directions through two-way radios and more
- Maintain site logbooks
- Conduct vehicle/inspections and grant access to authorised patrons, staff, visitors, and contractors using Access Control systems
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Our ideal applicants will have:
- Previous experience in a Data Centre or high-security area will be highly regarded
- A valid security licence
- A valid first aid/CPR certificate
- A valid white card (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good understanding of IT/computers and access control systems (issuing passes)
- Ability to be well-presented at all times
- Ability to be rostered across a 24/7 rotating roster (highly desirable but not essential)
