Security Officer/Team Leader

As a Security Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of shopping centers, licensed venues, and events. Your primary responsibilities will involve organizing and training security staff while actively participating in security operations. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

1. Organizing and Coordination:

      •     Develop and implement security plans and protocols for shopping centers, licensed venues, and crowd control events.

      •     Coordinate scheduling, deployment, and rotation of security personnel to ensure optimal coverage and response times.

      •     Liaise with management, clients, and law enforcement agencies to address security concerns and enforce regulations effectively.

2. Training and Development:

      •     Conduct comprehensive training sessions for security staff on procedures, protocols, and customer service standards.

      •     Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance the skills and performance of security personnel.

      •     Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends to continuously improve training programs.

3. Security Operations:

      •     Lead by example by actively participating in security duties, including patrolling, surveillance, and responding to incidents.

      •     Oversee crowd control measures during peak periods or special events to maintain order and ensure the safety of patrons.

      •     Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and access control systems to detect and deter security breaches.

4. Risk Assessment and Incident Management:

      •     Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.

      •     Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances, employing appropriate de-escalation techniques and crisis management protocols.

      •     Document and report incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities in accordance with established procedures.

5. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

      •     Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing security operations.

      •     Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess the effectiveness of security measures and identify areas for improvement.

      •     Implement corrective actions and quality assurance measures to maintain the highest standards of security and professionalism.

Qualifications and Skills:

      •     Previous experience in security management or supervisory role, preferably in retail, hospitality, or event security.

      •     Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

      •     Proficiency in security systems, procedures, and technologies, including CCTV, access control, and incident reporting software.

      •     Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situations.

      •     Certification or training in crowd control, first aid, CPR, and relevant security regulations/licenses (e.g., security license, crowd control license) is highly desirable.
