The Opportunity
The Department of Transport (DoT) has some unique opportunities for new Safety Assurance Team Leader to join our On-demand Transport Team.
The Safety Assurance Team Leader has responsibility under the direction of the Manager Safety Assurance for the effective triage, supervision, and allocation of duties, including the monitoring and reporting of associated functional outcomes of activities conducted by the Education and Compliance Officers, and the Business Support Officer. This role also liaises and consults with internal and external stakeholders, and other staff and business partners on a range of Safety Assurance matters.

The role require flexibility in relation to working variable shift patterns and occasionally working in regional locations for specific tasks.
This is a Full-Time Permanent opportunity with a 9-day fortnightly (teamwork a 9-day roster)
About you
In this position you will support the Manager in the daily supervision of the On-demand Transport Safety Assurance team. You will monitor and report on the day-to-day operations of the Education and Compliance Officers and the Business Support Officer, including the allocation and supervision of on-site audits and other compliance and enforcement activity.
As a Team Leader, you will support management in developing and implementing assurance and audit processes that enable staff and service providers to act on and comply with performance objectives and measures.
Your substantial knowledge and experience in applying and interpreting a range of legislative requirements, policies, processes, and procedures will ensure the Safety Assurance team applies and maintains proven audit and assurance methodologies to all aspects of their work.
