The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.
The Security Services Supervisor reports directly to the Safety and Security Duty Manager and offers an extraordinary opportunity to both lead and inspire Security team, providing a positive and memorable guest experience. This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for security.
A few of your responsibilities
Supervise the Operational areas of the Security Service outlets including Team Entry, Lost Property.
Monitor and investigate all incidents and provide written shift reports on activities that have occurred within Security Service locations.
Respond to all fire and emergency alarms and assist with the investigation of all incidents and implementation of any new processes developed to prevent further risk.
Investigate and report on activities that potentially pose a threat to the integrity of the operations and casino statutory obligations.
Support Security management and provide leadership and direction with regard to the operational aspects of the department with a particular focus on Team Entry and Lost Property.
What we will be looking for
Cert 2 in Security Operations or QLD Security License
Prior experience working within casino environments (preferred)
An understanding of the Casino Control Act and regulations
Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Gambling Accreditation
Current Senior First Aid Certificate

The successful candidate will bring considerable experience within the security industry as well as excellent communication skills. Teamwork is an essential part of the role, so the successful candidate will also display excellent teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously.
